Harvest Limeade Fizz

This is my version of a viral trend. 

Instead of using lemons, I've used limes.

I've also used roma tomatoes, but you can use cherry tomatoes instead.


1 roma tomato chopped

1 lime, cut into quarters

1 tsp.  agave nectar 

1 c. club soda

Ice


Place a clean glass in refrigerator to chill for a few minutes.

Rinse, chop tomato, lime.

In a clean jar, place tomato, lime, agave nectar.

Use a clean wooden spoon to muddle lime, tomato, nectar together.

Remove glass from refrigerator, add ice, use a strainer to strain juice into glass. 

Top off with club soda, stir with a straw to mix.

Serves 1.

Parcha Fizz

Need a last minute mocktail for the big game. This is perfect whether you're watching the game, enjoying the halftime show, watching your favorite Olympic events, Galentines Day, Valentines Day or anytime.  2 c.  passion fruit juice 1 - 2 c. sparkling water 1 c. pineapple juice 4 premade chunks pineapple  Ice Place 4 clean glasses in refrigerator to chill for a few minutes. To serve: Put pineapple chunks on 4 toothpick, set aside Remove glasses from fridge.  In the bottom of glasses, place ice.  Pour pineapple juice over ice.   Pour passion fruit juice into glasses.  Top mocktail off with sparkling water. Garnish with pineapple chunk. Serves 4.

Hot Buttered Rum

  Happy National Butter Rum Day all! This is perfect for a Michigan winter or anytime. 4 - 6 oz. dark rum 1/2 - 1 T. each: butter, brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract  2 - 3 c. hot tea Fill tea kettle with cold water and bring water to boil. Turn stove off, very carefully remove lid from kettle and place two tea bags in kettle.  Put lid back on tea kettle and let tea steep for a few minutes. While tea's steeping, spoon some sugar, rum, butter, vanilla extract in the bottom of 4 clean coffee mugs. Pour tea into the cups and stir with a clean spoon. Serves 4.
