Eclipse Spritz

Today’s the solar eclipse.

This is perfect for your eclipse watching get together or anytime.


2 - 3 c. lemon lime soda

Ice

4 - 6 oz. tequila 

2 oz. triple sec

Blue food coloring 


Place clean glasses in freezer to chill for a few minutes.

In the bottom of a clean pitcher, place ice. 

Combine a couple of drops of food coloring & triple sec in the bottom of a clean glass. 

Stir to mix with a clean fork. 

Add tequila, triple sec and soda to pitcher.

Stir with a clean wooden spoon and place in refrigerator until ready to serve.

To serve:

Remove pitcher from fridge, glasses from freezer and pour spritz into glasses.

Serves 4.

I used pure maple syrup for this recipe. 4 - 6 oz. bourbon 2 - 3 c. cider 2 T.  each: brown sugar, pure maple syrup pinch cinnamon  Ice Drizzle some maple syrup & brown sugar on 2 clean plates. For each cocktail: Place a glass upside down in the syrup, the brown sugar to coat glasses.  Place glass in freezer to chill for a few minutes. In a cocktail shaker combine ice, brown sugar, cinnamon, syrup and bourbon.  Add some of the cider, put lid on shaker and shake for a few seconds.  Remove glass from freezer, remove lid from shaker and strain cocktail in glass.  Serves 4.

Big Game Strawberry Lemonade

This is perfect for your game watching get together, Galentines Day, Valentines Day or anytime.  4 - 6 oz. vodka 2 - 3 c. lemonade 6 strawberries  Ice 1 T. grenadine Rinse, remove ends from and with a clean knife make a slit in 4 of the strawberries. In a clean jar, combine vodka & 1 - 2 strawberries.  Screw lid on jar, shake jar, place jar in refrigerator to infuse for a few hours.  To serve: Remove vodka jar from fridge. In the bottom of 4 clean glasses, place ice. Through a strainer, pour vodka into glasses. Top off with lemonade. Drizzle some grenadine into glasses. Garnish glass with remaining strawberries. Serves 4.
