Mixed Berry Margarita

  Happy Margarita Day all. This is perfect for margarita day or anytime. 1  1/2  - 2 c. margarita mix   1 c. ice 1/2 c. each: fresh or frozen blackberries, raspberries, strawberries 4 - 6 oz. tequila (optional) 1 oz. triple sec 1 tsp. regular or dietetic sugar (optional) 1 lime cut into wedges Salt for rim of glass (optional) Garnish glasses with lime wedges. Wet a napkin slightly, rub around rim of glasses to wet. Put salt on small dish.  Put mouth of  glasses face down on plate to coat rim of glasses with salt, set glasses aside. Rinse fresh berries.. Combine ingredients in blender.  Blend for 20 - 30 sec. or until blended.   Pour into garnished glasses. Serves 4.

Blackberry Spritz

This is perfect for the big game or anytime. You can use club soda or sparkling water for this. 8 blackberries  2 tsp. sugar 4 mint leaves 4 c. approx (1 liter bottle) club soda or sparkling water  Ice Place 4 clean glasses in freezer to chill for a few minutes. Rinse blackberries, mint, pat dry mint leaves, set aside. For each drink: Remove glasses from freezer. In the bottom of glass, place some of the sugar, blackberries, 1 mint leaf. With the back of clean spoon, muddle mint leaves, blackberries, sugar together. Add ice, top off drink with club soda.  Stir for a few seconds with a clean spoon or a clean straw, if desired. Serves 4.

Blitz Spritz

This is great whether you’re watching the Lions or anytime.   This is also perfect for summer. 4 - 6 c. premade lemonade 2 - 3 c. club soda or sparkling water Ice 1 - 2  T. sugar (enough to coat glasses) Blue food coloring  On a clean plate place sugar, add a couple drops of blue food coloring.  Stir with a clean fork to mix.  Wet the rims of 4 clean glasses with a clean wet napkin. Place glasses rim side down on plate with sugar to coat rims. Place glasses in freezer to chill for a few minutes. To serve: Remove glasses from freezer, squeeze 1 - 2 drops of food coloring in the bottom of glass, place ice in glasses. Pour lemonade into glasses, top lemonade off with soda and stir with a clean straw. Serves 4.

Winter Sangria

Happy New Year all! This is perfect for New Years, brunch, girls night or anytime. 1 bottle white wine 2 tangerines 2 c. club soda 1/4 - 1/3 c. sugar 1/4 c. blueberries  Ice Peel, section, tangerines. Rinse blueberries. In the bottom of a clean pitcher, place ice. Add berries, tangerines, sugar. Pour wine over fruit and stir to mix. Place in refrigerator to chill until ready to serve. To serve: Remove sangria from fridge and pour into 4 clean glasses.  Top sangria off with club soda.  Serves 4.

Peppermint Vodka

This is perfect for holiday cocktails, as a gift or anytime. I used 1 piece of candy but you can use 2 candies if needed. 1 - 2 peppermint candies (adjust amount)  4 - 6 oz. vodka In a small clean jar combine ingredients. Put lid on jar, shake to mix, place in refrigerator until ready to use. Serves 4.

Cider Spritz

  This is perfect for fall, a party or anytime. 4 c. apple cider 2 c. club soda Ice In the bottom of 4 clean glasses, place ice. Pour cider over ice. Top each glass of cider off with club soda. Serves 4. 

Giving Thanks Spritz

  This is a family friendly mocktail that’s perfect for the holidays or anytime. 1 c. each: pineapple juice, orange juice, cranberry juice  2 c. club soda Ice In the bottom of a clean pitcher, place ice. Combine juices over ice in pitcher. Stir with a wooden spoon to mix, place in the refrigerator until ready to serve. To serve: Remove pitcher from refrigerator,  place ice in the bottom of 4 clean glasses Pour mocktails into glasses. Top each mocktail off with club soda. Serves 4.
