The Thirsty Diva ™

  This is great a way to beat the heat, chillin’ in the yard, poolside or anytime. I used a hand cranked shaved ice  maker.  If you don't have one, you can use a blender if needed.  I've also used premade margarita mix but you can make homemade margarita mix if desired. 1 bottle margarita mix 4 - 6 oz. tequila  2 oz. triple sec Combine ingredients in clean pitcher, stir. Pour margaritas in ice cube trays and place in freezer until frozen.  Remove ice cube trays from freezer and place  ice in shaved ice  maker or blender. Crush ice until it's the consistency of snow, 20 - 30 sec and pour  into clean glasses. Enjoy! Serves 4.

  This is perfect for Mothers Day or anytime.  Enjoy! 1 bottle non alcoholic sparkling wine 3 - 4 c. orange juice For each champagne glass, pour sparkling wine in glass. Top off glass with orange juice. Serves 4.

This will be the MVP of your draft night watching get together or anytime. I used a lime, but you can use a lemon instead if desired instead. 4 - 6 oz. tequila  4 c. lemon - lime soda Ice 1 lime or lemon cut into wedges  Cut lime into wedges , set aside. Set 4 clean glasses in freezer to chill for a few minutes. When ready to serve: take  glasses out of freezer. In the bottom of glass, place ice.  Pour 1 shot of tequila over ice in each glass.  Pour soda over ice and garnish glasses with lime wedge. Serves 4

  This is perfect to celebrate the National Cherry Trees blossoming, spring or anytime. 1 - 1 1/2 c. cherry ice cream 2 - 3 c. low fat milk 1/2 c. pre whipped cream In a blender combine ice cream and milk. Blend for 20 sec. or until blended. Pour into clean glasses, top with whipped cream. Serves 4.

This is perfect for watching the Oscars’, St. Pattys’ Day or March Madness. 4 - 6 oz. whiskey 1 1/2 oz. each: triple sec, fresh lemon juice Ice For each cocktail: combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Place lid on shaker and shake for a few seconds.  Remove lid from shaker and strain into a clean cocktail shaker. Serves 4. 

  This is a family friendly way to celebrate carnaval or anytime. 1 c. orange juice 3/4 c. pineapple juice Ice 2 T. grenadine  For each samba. In a cocktail shaker combine some of the pineapple juice, ice, orange juice.  Put lid on shaker and shake for a few seconds. Put some ice in the bottom of a clean glass and pour cocktail over glass.  Drizzle some grenadine into cocktail. Serves 4.

This is perfect for watching the game, brunch, girls night out or anytime. 4 - 6 oz. Tequila  3 c. orange juice 2 oz. grenadine  Ice  Put 4 clean glasses in freezer to chill for a few minutes. For each cocktail:  Place ice in bottom of a clean cocktail shaker, add 1 shot of tequila Put some orange juice in shaker. Put lid on shaker and shake for 10 - 20 sec. Remove glass from freezer, remove lid from shaker and strain cocktail into glass. Using a clean spoon, drizzle grenadine in glass. Serves 4.
